Shelley Eggison, FIoL, leads The Fairpath Trust with recognised expertise in fairness, clarity and psychologically safe practice.


Her work centres on building governance and safeguarding structures that protect people, strengthen organisational decision‑making and create space for thoughtful, ethical leadership. She specialises in turning complex regulation into calm, predictable, neuroinclusive systems that people can actually use.


Her leadership ensures Fairpath’s work is grounded in strong governance, ethical decision‑making and accessible systems that protect people.

Shelley is a governance, risk and safeguarding leader with extensive experience in legal governance, procedural fairness and organisational leadership. Her work spans charity governance, safeguarding oversight, risk management and accessible communication.


She designs systems that are predictable, transparent and supportive, especially for people who need clarity, structure and reduced cognitive load to participate fully.


Her approach is grounded in evidence‑based practice, trauma‑aware principles and a commitment to making complex environments easier to navigate.


As a Fellow of the Institute of Leadership (FIoL), the highest level of professional recognition awarded by the Institute, Shelley is recognised for her contribution to ethical leadership, governance excellence and inclusive organisational practice.   


This Fellowship provides assurance to trustees, partners and funders that Fairpath is led to a nationally recognised professional standard, strengthening the trust, credibility and quality behind all of the charity’s work.
